Hi there! It’s Megi.

Today, I would like to share my thoughts on why young aspiring professionals, particularly in the business field, would benefit from being present at LinkedIn.

When you develop your professional career, my advice is to keep your CV not only as a separate file you send out to the employer or upload to the recruitment systems but also keep yourself and your accomplishments present on LinkedIn, the business and employment-focused social media platform.

Even though there are currently discussions on alternatives to LinkedIn, this platform remains relevant and useful. Especially as a young, aspiring professional, you will be able to get several benefits.

  1. You can learn more about structuring your CV and essential sections to reflect your knowledge and experience and keep them updated

  2. You can get a variety of examples of CVs from working professionals you can browse on the platform

  3. You can browse other people’s accounts and learn what skills and experience they have to identify and advance further your trajectories of growth

  4. You can be inspired by others’ profiles and developments and be motivated to keep going - if they’ve accomplished that, so can you!

  5. Apart from the profiles and CVs, LinkedIn allows you to learn more about different companies and organizations you are interested in; hence, you can follow their accounts for updates

  6. Additionally, there is a possibility to follow different educators and professionals who share their knowledge and interesting tips on the topics interesting to you, and they also introduce new trends

  7. And finally, what is very important is that you can keep and extend your professional network by adding people you know or are interested in, endorsing each others’ skills, and exchanging references on prior collaboration. You can establish communication, be on each other's radar, and be able to learn about new vacancies and opportunities
